(전 축구 그만할래요. 이건 애들이 하는 게임이잖아요)

▶Gloria : No, you're not quitting

(안돼! 넌 그만 못 둬)

▶Gloria : You would have stopped that goal if you weren't staring at that little girl

(네가 그 여자애만 쳐다보지 않았어도, 넌 그 골을 막을 수 있었을거야)

▶Manny : She is not a girl. She's a woman.

(그녀는 여자애가 아니에요. 여자이에요)

▶Jay : You know, Gloria, that little blow-up with that other mom-

(있잖아, 글로리아, 다른 엄마와 했던 작은 말다툼말인데)

▶Jay : Why do you have to do things like that?

(왜 당신은 뭐든 꼭 그렇게 해야만 하는거야?)

▶Gloria : If somebody says something about my family, I'm going to-

(누군가 내 가족에 대해 뭐라고 한다면, 나는- 할 것..)

▶Jay : I'm just saying. You could take it down here a little bit. That's all.

(내 말은 단지... 당신이 조금 더 흥분을 가라앉힐 수 있다는 거야. 그게 다야)

▶Gloria : Oh yeah. Cause that's where you live down here. But I live up here.

(왜냐하면 당신 감정은 아래에 있기 때문이에요. 반면 내 성질은 위에 있다고요)

▶Jay : You don't have to be so emotional all the time

(당신은 매 순간 그렇게 감정적일 필요가 없어)

▶Jay : That's all I'm saying

(내가 할 말은 그게 다야)

▶Jay : Manny, You're with me on this, right?

(매니, 너도 이말에 동의하지? 그렇지?)

▶Manny : I wanna tell Brenda Feldman I love her

(저는 브랜다 펠먼에게 내가 그녀를 사랑한다고 말하고 싶어요)

▶Jay : Oh, for God sakes

▶Gloria : Manny, she's sixteen(16)

(매니, 걔는 16살이야)

▶Manny : Oh, It's okay for you to take an older lover?

(허? 나이 많은 배우자랑 사는건 엄마한테만 괜찮다는거에요?)

▶Jay : Hey, Watch it!

▶Manny : I wanna go to mall where she works

(저는 그녀가 일하는 쇼핑몰에 가고 싶어요)

▶Manny : But first I need to get my white shirt, the silk one

(근데 우선은 제 흰색 셔츠를 가져와겠어요. 실크로 된거요)

▶Gloria : Okay, if that's what you really want to do

(좋아, 그게 너가 정말 하고 싶은 일이라면...)

▶Jay : Seriously, Not to be the evil stepdad, But if you put on a puffy white shirt...

(진짜로, 나쁜 새아빠가 되려는게 아니라, 만약 네가 부푼 흰 셔츠를 입고)

▶Jay : and declare your love for a 16-year-old

(16살짜리 너의 사랑을 고백하면,)

▶Jay : you're gonna be swinging from the flagpole in your white underpants

(너는 흰색 속옷을 뒤집어쓰고 깃대에서 흔들흔들 거리고 있을거야)

▶Manny : Stop the car!

(차 좀 세워줘요)

▶Gloria : Oh, where are you going?

(오우, 어디 갈려고?)

▶Manny : you see? you hurt his feelings

(봤지? 당신은 그 마음에 상처를 줬어)

▶Jay : Ah-Well, if it toughens him up a little bit then-

(뭐...이게 쟤를 좀 더 강하게 만드는거라면,)

▶Jay : Oh, geez. He's picking flowers

(오우, 세상에. 쟤 꽃을 꺽고 있어)

 

<Interview>

 

▶Gloria : Manny's very passionate, just like his father

(매니는 매우 열정적이에요. 그애 아빠처럼)

▶Gloria : My firtst husband, he's very handsome, but too crazy

(제 첫 번째 남편은 매우 잘생겼지만, 너무 미쳤죠)

▶Gloria : It's seemed like all we did was

(우리가 했던 것은 전부 ~ 인 것 같아요)

▶Gloria : fight and make love, fight and make love, fight and make love
